Israel’s space agency chief was in Brussels today talking AI, robotics, satellites and early-warning systems as the EU pushes deeper into air defense and space.
And that’s quite a shift.
Back in 2024, the EU was considering its own air-defense shield, but the idea stalled partly because it would have relied on Israeli technology, which was politically too sensitive during the Gaza war.
Fast-forward to now and things look very different.
Israel’s Rafael is opening an Iron Dome factory in Germany, Greece just signed a €3 billion deal for an Israeli multilayered air-defense network, and Brussels is talking directly with Israel about what comes next.
