If you die from the vaccine, they’ll pay for your funeral. So now, you have no reason to say “No.” One minor problem: the payment is not guaranteed. Your next of kin still has to apply.

This is a good first step: it shows that Australia acknowledges that the COVID vaccines kill people.
In the US, we are not that sophisticated. None of the health authorities (other than those in Florida) think the jabs can kill you.
As far as I know, the total $$ paid out to date for compensation for injuries/death from the COVID vaccines: 0.
