By Australians vs. The Agenda
Taxpayers have forked out over $220,000,000 for the Wellcamp COVID-19 quarantine facility in Queensland — and will continue to pay for its lease and operation until at least April 2023, despite being shut down this weekend.
There are 4 other inactive facilities around the country.
QLD Deputy Premier Steven Miles says the facility has provided the state a ‘value for money purpose and can be utilised for “other uses” should ‘pandemic conditions’ change.
