BREAKING: The rugby league world is mourning the sudden death of a legendary player and premiership-winning coach Paul Green, who passed away at his Brisbane home this morning at the age of 49.

Green played 162 first-grade matches between 1994-2004, and represented the Maroons and Australia.

As a coach, he guided the Cowboys to their first premiership win in 2015 and last coached the Maroons in the 2021 Origin series.
