Bali Digital Nomads Rejoice! The Long-awaited Remote Work Visa is Finally Here, and it is Easy to Get!

The Indonesian Government recently announced the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 22/2023 and the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Number 82/2023, which introduced a series of visas that will ease global movement and investment into Indonesia. Of these new and improved visas, the Remote Work Visa stands as the clear winner for most.
While the Golden Visa (based on investment) has a very high capital requirement and focuses on Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI), the Remote Worker Visa tries to attract Remote workers or Digital Nomads working for International companies.

The paradigm-changing aspect of this visa is that for the first time, foreigners can get a limited stay permit (KITAS) while working for a sponsor outside Indonesia.

The application for the Remote Work Visa can be submitted with the following documents:
1 A Passport, valid for at least 6 months.
2 A Statement letter proving that you earn at least US$ 60,000 per annum
3 A Working agreement with an offshore company
4 Proof of sufficient funds to live in Indonesia
5 A Passport photo

The Visa will be the base for granting you a 1-year stay permit in Indonesia (KITAS). Stay tuned to be the first to apply!
