The Australian National Review Founder said, “some staff and independent journalists lost their jobs after the Australian Government allegedly had Stripe, its payment provider, close accounts and freeze funds. The Australian National Review lost its ability to process its donations for some time, causing significant losses. It has survived on millions of dollars of the Founders funds for the last decade, but there is a limit to how much more can be funded, to keep one of Australia’s largest independent news providers afloat. It’s been reported that Australian National Review is one of the most censored new sites in Australia. Every dirty trick is used to ban us from almost every platform and to stop web traffic. It’s been also reported that the Australian Government, is attempting to ban independent new sites from asking the public for donations.
