The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported extensive devastation across southern Lebanon, warning that entire neighborhoods have been wiped out by Israeli attacks and that damage is systematic.
Speaking to UN Radio, UNIFIL spokesperson Kandice Ardiel detailed widespread destruction impacting homes, businesses, schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure such as water, electricity, and road networks spanning from Kfar Kila to Khiam and Naqoura.
Ardiel emphasized that the crisis extends far beyond physical architecture, driving mass displacement, shattering community networks, and destroying livelihoods in a manner that threatens the long-term viability of safe civilian returns.
