The world in the last 48 hours alone have exposed just how incredibly unstable this moment is:
• The US carried out new strikes inside southern Iran while simultaneously negotiating a “peace deal” in Qatar.
• Iran warned the US there will be “no safe haven” in the region if attacks continue.
• The Strait of Hormuz remains the central pressure point of the global economy, with oil markets swinging wildly on every rumour of a deal or escalation.
• Gulf states are reportedly pressuring Trump to avoid another prolonged regional war, fearing economic collapse and internal destabilisation.
• Trump is putting for a broader Middle East restructuring deal involving Iran, Israel, sanctions relief and the expansion of the Abraham Accords.
• Israel continues to strike Lebanon despite ceasefire discussions, while Hezbollah tensions remain active.
• Oil prices, shipping insurance costs and global markets are reacting almost hourly to developments in the Gulf.
• In Ukraine, the war escalated dramatically after a Ukrainian strike hit a building in Russian-controlled Luhansk that housed students and civilians, killing a significant number of people.
• Moscow called the attack a “terrorist strike” and immediately announced retaliatory measures, launching one of the largest missile and drone barrages in months against Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.
• Russia and China continue strengthening strategic ties publicly while presenting themselves as stabilising alternatives to Western-led chaos.
• Europe looks increasingly politically paralysed, economically weakened and strategically dependent as larger power blocs reposition around energy, trade routes and security alliances.
• In Britain, Keir Starmer’s days as PM are counted as public frustration intensifies over migration, economic stagnation, censorship concerns and the widening disconnect between political elites and
ordinary citizens.
• In Spain, new allegations and investigations surrounding figures linked to Pedro Sánchez and former Prime Minister Zapatero are fuelling further accusations of corruption, influence networks and institutional decay within the political class.
The entire geopolitical order now feels like it’s being renegotiated in real time: energy corridors, military alliances, trade systems, regional sovereignty and even the role of America itself. Whilst corruption at the highest level keeps being exposed in governments accross the world.
We are no longer watching isolated events. We are watching the old world architecture strain under pressure while a new one tries to emerge through conflict, negotiation, financial leverage and controlled chaos.
